Harvest Exhibition
at Wightman Gallery

Local journalist Fiona Phillips recently wrote an article in the Gazette Magazine about our ongoing exhibition; Harvest. To learn more about our artists and collaborations be sure to pick up your copy when it is released any time now. The Mixing Shed Cafe always stocks a few so keep an eye.

Harvest exhibition runs until the 15th October, pop along to the gallery and see it in its final weeks and be certain to read Fiona's article in the next edition of the Elmdon, Duddenhoe End and Wenden Lofts Gazette.

Wood Firing with
Brendan Hayes at Compass Courtyard

Ceramic Artist Brendan Hayes will be leading a wood firing at Compass Courtyard during October.

Brendan has been working and teaching with clay since the '60s. His journey with wood firing began when seeing a coastal beach kiln firing in St Ives, Cornwall. He then adopted the technique, which actually originates from the Navajo Indians in the southern states of America and has now traveled all the way to East Anglia, England.

Brendan exhibited one of these unique pots at the recent Royal Academy Summer Show in London. And yes, the pot sold on the opening night!
