Jayne Sandys-Renton is a painter focusing on nature and women. "My ‘landscape interiors’ are often without a horizon, dense with vegetation, moving towards abstraction. While the work may be a direct response to nature itself, it invites a feeling of otherworldliness, creating ideas of transformation, hinting at a presence; maybe a figure will emerge as if borne of the landscape. Women are always implicitly present in my work, even if not literally apparent."
